We are a catalyst for AI in Latin America, primarily through our biennial conference, connecting local AI talent and stakeholders—from academia, industry, and government—with global experts, resources, and opportunities.
BUILDING COMMUNITY
Our event brings together a global mix of students, academics, entrepreneurs, and policy leaders from over 20 countries, primarily from Latin America and beyond. Formerly called RIIAA, the organization has held 7 annual conferences in Ecuador and Mexico, drawing over a thousand participants from across Latin America and building a vibrant community dedicated to sharing knowledge and collaborating on AI.
CREATING OPPORTUNITIES
Every two years, SALA brings together hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students from all over Latin America. Participants get to hear from renowned AI researchers and leaders; participate in a summit-wide hackathon to tackle real-world challenges, with mentorship from top experts; and connect with peers, pioneers, and future employers from across academia and industry.
